Brighton have completed the signing of Nigeria winger Femi Azeez from Millwall in a deal reported to be £12.5m, with add‑ons that could push the total past £15m. The 25‑year‑old joins the Seagulls on a four‑year contract, becoming the club’s eleventh summer acquisition following their £45m record purchase of centre‑back Luka Vuskovic.
Azeez arrived at the Amex Stadium after a prolific Championship campaign in which he netted 11 goals and supplied eight assists across 37 appearances, earning a spot in the PFA Championship Team of the Year. His performances have been highlighted as a key factor in Millwall’s reluctance to let him go, having turned down at least three offers before the final agreement was reached.
Negotiations concluded on deadline day, with both clubs submitting a deal sheet before the 23:00 BST cut‑off and finalising the transfer prior to the extended 01:00 deadline on Wednesday. Azeez originally moved to Millwall from Reading for roughly £1m in 2024 and entered the deal with two years remaining on his contract.
The Brighton window also saw the arrival of defensive midfielder Chema Andres from Stuttgart on a five‑year deal worth £15.5m, while the club’s recent £70m sale of Carlos Baleba to Manchester United provided significant funds for the activity.
