Aston Villa have confirmed the arrivals of Paris Saint‑Germain forward Ibrahim Mbaye and Southampton centre‑back Taylor Harwood‑Bellis, with Sky Sports reporting the teenage winger’s fee at roughly £47 million.

The 18‑year‑old Mbaye, primarily a right‑winger, progressed through the PSG academy and made his senior debut in August 2024 as a 16‑year‑old. He is a Senegal international who netted at last summer’s World Cup and was part of the Paris side that secured back‑to‑back Champions League titles and Ligue 1 crowns in 2025 and 2026. At the 2026 World Cup he became the youngest African to score in the tournament, finding the net at 18 years and 143 days in a 3‑1 defeat to France.

Villa described the new signing as “fast and fearless”, noting they had spotted him watching the club’s recent match at Villa Park. His arrival follows the £51 million departure of England forward Ollie Watkins to Al Hilal.

Southampton’s Taylor Harwood‑Bellis joins as a centre‑back on a deal reported to total £30 million, with a guaranteed £25 million fee and £5 million in performance‑related add‑ons. The move bolsters Villa’s defensive options ahead of the campaign. Harwood‑Bellis fee

The twin acquisitions signal Villa’s intent to reinforce both flanks and the back line, aiming to translate their recent transfer activity into on‑field progress.
